Terms of use
Last updated 28 September 2026. These terms apply to the INotStudy apps for Android and Wear OS ("the app").
1. Licence
When you buy or install the app you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use it on devices you own, for the purposes described in these terms. The app is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted stay with the developer.
2. What the app is for
INotStudy is a practice tool: mock papers, past papers, revision questions and tests where help is allowed. You agree not to use it where assistance is prohibited — in an examination, assessment or any setting whose rules forbid outside help — and to comply with the rules of your school, university, employer or examining body, and with the terms of Meta's glasses platform (their Acceptable Use Policy). You are responsible for how you use the app.
3. Recording and other people
The app photographs what is in front of the glasses or the phone. You are responsible for having the right to do so where you are, and for not capturing other people without their agreement. The app does not alter or suppress any capture indicator, and you agree not to attempt to.
4. Third-party AI providers
Cloud answers are produced by Google, Anthropic or OpenAI using an API key you obtain and enter yourself. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and billed by them; the developer is not a party to it and does not see the traffic. Models change; the developer does not guarantee that any particular model remains available. Gemma on the phone is downloaded from Google under the Gemma Terms of Use, which you accept by downloading it.
5. Answers are not guaranteed
AI models make mistakes. The app shows a confidence figure and says when your own notes did not support an answer, but nothing it produces is guaranteed correct, and it must not be relied on for any decision of consequence. Use it to check yourself, not to replace understanding.
6. Restrictions
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, sell, rent or sublicense the app; remove notices; or use it to build a competing product. You may not use the app in breach of any law.
7. Your data
The app keeps your exams, notes, keys and history on your device and sends nothing to the developer; see the privacy policy. You are responsible for backing up your exams (Settings → Backup).
8. Purchases and refunds
The app is sold through Google Play, whose purchase and refund terms apply. The developer offers no additional refund beyond those terms.
9. Glasses availability
Glasses capture depends on Meta's platform and on Meta admitting the app to it. Until Meta opens public publishing, glasses capture is available only to testers on the app's release channel; the phone camera, photo import and watch features are available to everyone. The developer does not guarantee when, or whether, Meta will open its platform.
10. No warranty; limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from the use of an answer, and the developer's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Termination
These terms end when you uninstall the app. The developer may end your licence if you break these terms, in particular sections 2, 3 and 6.
12. Changes
These terms may change with a new version of the app; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without affecting mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. Disputes go to the competent courts of Romania unless the law of your country gives you the right to your local courts.
