What the app is for
INotStudy is for practising: mock papers, past papers, revision questions, and tests where help is allowed. It is not for use anywhere assistance is prohibited, and it is not built to be discreet. Every capture lights the glasses' LED and plays the shutter; the app cannot change that and will never try.
What we collect
Nothing. We — the people who make INotStudy — operate no service that receives anything from the app. There is no sign-in, no telemetry, no advertising identifier and no third-party analytics SDK.
What leaves your phone, and to whom
When you capture a question, the app sends to the model provider you selected in Settings:
- the photo of the question (cropped and downscaled),
- your exam's settings (name, topic, language, instructions, answer format),
- if you added notes to the exam, the short extracts that match the question.
The providers offered are Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI. Each receives the data under its own terms and privacy policy, using the API key you entered; we are not party to that relationship and cannot see the traffic. With Gemma 4 on this phone, the model runs locally and nothing is sent anywhere.
The app also fetches each provider's list of available models, with your key, so the picker stays current. That request carries no photo or text of yours.
What stays on the phone

Permissions

No photo-library permission is requested; importing a photo uses the system picker, which hands over one file.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new text ships with the app version it applies to.
